Solodyn (minocycline HCI, USP) Extended Release Tablets

After taking a look at their website I’m going to overview a few of the aspects of Solodyn that they stress on there. First, Solodyn Tablets are marketed towards 12+ year olds with “red, pus-filled pimples and red bumps of moderate to severe acne”. Gee, that sounds familiar for a typical high school student, doesn’t it? Let’s go into more detail regarding it now:

Solodyn is:

  • An oral antibiotic
  • Extended Release
  • Once a day (BONUS!)
  • With or Without food
  • 8 Strengths, Weight Determines Which
  • Should see improvement within 12 weeks.

Overall it looks like a good beneficial medication for acne treatment, and a great option to consider talking to your dermatologist about.

Their official site is here if you want more information from them, and I hope this information has helped you with a quick and no-BS overview of Solodyn.

Accutane Side Effects

Accutane is a very strong medication that originally was used for patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Over time, it became known as a medication which could be used to treat severe cases of acne that
were unable to be treated via other methods.

This was the last resort that doctors would use for their patients, mainly due to how powerful this
medication truly is. Over time, Accutane became known for severe side effects that actually spurred a
countless number of Accutane lawsuits.

What are the most common Accutane side effects?

Keep in mind that these are only the side effects of Accutane that are the most common among patients
who have taken this particular medication. Other side effects exist, even if we didn’t list them for you
below.

  • Severe Depression (Thoughts of Harming One’s Self or Others)
  • Jaundice (This is where the eyes/skin turn to a yellow color.)
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Harming An Unborn Child (Birth Defects)
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Severe Liver Damage

As you can see, Accutane doesn’t have the most pleasant side effects. If you have found yourself a
victim of these side effects, please make sure that after you consult medical attention that you seek out
your other options in regards to compensation for medical bills and related expenses.

How common are Accutane side effects among patients?

So far, there have been several accutane lawsuits filed by patients against Roche Pharmaceuticals due to the
harsh side effects that Accutane is known for. This is no longer a case where it’s once in a blue moon
that a patient will experience these side effects.

Therefore, it’s not recommended to take Accutane, whether or not you have a prescription from your
doctor for it. The risk is simply too high for us to recommend as an effective prescription medication
used to treat severe cases of acne.

Accutane Lawsuit Information

Accutane is a prescription acne treatment medication which is used in the treatment of some of the worst
cases of acne to exist. When other acne treatments fail, many doctors have relied on an Accutane
prescription to provide hope where things may seem grim.

However, there has already been several thousand lawsuits filed against the manufacturer of Accutane
(Roche Pharmaceuticals) by patients who have experience the nasty side effects that this prescription
medication is known to come with.

Below are the various names that are used for Accutane.

  • Isotretinoin
  • Sotrat
  • Claravis
  • Ratane
  • Istane
  • Raccutane
  • Decutan

How bad are these side effects?

From thought of suicide to Crohn’s Disease, the side effects that are tied to Accutane actually get pretty
severe. That’s why many people around the world will be more than happy to let you know just how
risky this medication is before you become a victim of its side effects.

The side effects are the true cause of a countless number of lawsuits against not only the manufacturer,
but medical professional who prescribed this medication as well. The lawsuits are generally for the
medical costs as well as any other related expenses/losses caused by taking Accutane.

The Current State of Accutane

While Accutane is still being filled through pharmacies all around the country, the FDA has issued a
requirement for a black box warning. This means that all bottles of Accutane must display a clearly
visible warning that educates consumers about the potential side effects.

Not only has the FDA required the black box warning, but it’s also being stressed that any medical
professionals who prescribe Accutane MUST thoroughly educate all of their patients on the risks that
have been associated with Accutane usage.

Anyone who has experienced the side effects of Accutane are strongly encouraged to contact legal
counsel in an effort to seek out the legal options of recovering any losses/expenses that are directly
related to the usage of Accutane.
