Tea Tree Oil Review

Tea tree oil hails from Australia and is found in the Australian paperbark tree. Its benefits are numerous and it’s been used for everything from conjunctivitis and ringworm to impetigo and dandruff. However, what is has become most popular for as of late is its effectiveness in the battle against acne. The tea tree oil has antibacterial, antifungal AND antiviral properties. In addition to all of that, it also stimulates the immune system and smells fantastic!

Because of the wide variety of medically healing properties tea tree oil possesses, it is able to both help prevent future breakouts as well as sooth and heal any existing flare ups. It is best used AFTER cleansing the skin first, as it will then be able to help combat the bacteria and oil that transform into acne cysts and nodules.

Tea tree oil products to treat acne come in two different types: oil based and soap based. The oil based version of the product should be applied to the face for about 15 minutes before being washed off. The tea tree oil soap on the other hand (either a bar or liquid soap) should be lathered and scrubbed gently onto the face for several minutes before being washed off.

Although it has been proven to be effective in the fight against acne many shy away from tea tree oil due to time that it takes before it begins working. It has been reported that the topical application of 5% tea tree oil is comparable in overall effect to 5% benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is of course, the active ingredient in numerous acne relief products and systems that are on the market today. However despite the two products comparable effects, the benzoyl peroxide applications were also reported to show results a lot sooner than the tea tree oil applications were.

Despite the fact that it has been proven to be able to effectively clear up acne and prevent future breakouts, tea tree oil has lost many a battle to benzoyl peroxide based products because of its results taking a bit longer before they became noticeable. What many people don’t realize however is that although it takes longer, the tea tree oil is all natural and possesses all of the antibacterial properties that were discussed earlier. While benzoyl peroxide is effective for many different types of people, its effects do diminish over time for others.

Since the properties of skin are so different from person to person, it’s too difficult to narrow down certain products that are going to be successful for everyone. The tea tree oil though, offers an impressive alternative to many of the other chemically based acne products. While it is not recommended for those with severe acne problems, it is definitely worth remembering for down the line after other treatments have reduced the severity of the problem.

Even after your acne is all gone, the tea tree oil still offers one plenty of reasons to continue on using it. When combined with a tea tree oil shampoo, the tea tree oil soap could offer you a lifetime of pleasant and sweet smelling mornings to look forward to! In addition to a nice clear face too of course!

The future of acne treatments

The acne and breakout ailment has seen many a treatment with the advancement of our society. The very first treatment was just the suggestion that you wash your face with warm and soapy water in the morning and at night. Next came some oil-free scrubs and lotions that further aided the quest to finally rid the face of excess and unwanted acne breakouts.

Next up was multi-step treatments and even supplements to take that would help fight acne from the inside out. While these treatments all were effective to some degree, each new discovery in the fight against acne was exponentially better than the last. And at this point in time, as we’re about to step into the second decade of the twenty first century, we have yet another new acne treatment that may very well be the end-all be all in what has been a constant and ever-evolving fight.

What this new acne treatment entails is a laser removal process that, while incredibly expensive in its debut, has been slowly becoming more and more affordable to the common acne sufferer. There are even handheld products that can be used in one’s home that utilize this laser removal technology. Indeed, laser acne removal has become a legit option for those suffering just from mild to moderate acne. It is no longer for people suffering severe acne that has not responded to any other types of treatment.

The key to actually being able to acquire this laser acne removal treatment is to first go and get a dermatologist (if you don’t already have one). Many people who suffer acne frown upon this option because they believe it will be too expensive. These same people then bemoan their situation as unfixable when they aren’t able to clear up their acne on their own.

A dermatologist is fully trained in helping people with their skin problems and the majority of dermatologists are EXPERTS in fighting acne. If you go and tell your dermatologist that you’d like to look into an affordable laser acne treatment option than they will go out of their way to find a specialist for you that will fit the price tag that you can afford.

Once you find a laser acne removal specialist you can then set up the sessions in which you’ll actually receive the treatment and the best part is, when combined with a simple oil-free facial wash will have your skin looking like it NEVER had acne before AND will be fighting all new breakouts for the future.

It is no longer an option for people who have severe acne scarring either because even if you don’t have scars, you can still have some acne blemishes that will remain on your face for months at a time. At long last, these laser acne removal treatments have become affordable for any and all acne sufferers and in turn have become a viable, realistic option if you’re finding no success with other acne treatment products.

As always, stay informed and good luck!

Acne cures

While there is a plethora of acne cures on the market today, not all of them are effective and not all of them may be right for you. What you always need to keep in mind is that you’re going to need to stick with the type of products that will work for your specific skin type and not stray from it in any way. Many people falsely believe that all acne products work on everyone the same and that it is just the quality of the product that matters.

However as was shown recently with Proactiv, even if an acne product is of high quality it can still not work for everyone. This isn’t the products fault at all, but merely the particular person’s skin structure. Some people do well with oil free scrubs and lotions while others find results in high in benzoyl peroxide creams.

While the nutritional supplements that can be used for acne are often beneficial and show results, you should at least have tried a fair amount of outer scrubs and washes just to make sure. They aren’t incredibly expensive but sometimes people often turn to them quickly at first and when they don’t work, get sucked into the questionable and expensive $300ish acne relief systems world.

If you have tried out any of the cleansing and clearing cream systems then feel free to get one of the inside-outside systems. They’ve generally had very good results and help you battle acne from both inside of your body where it starts and outside on your face. While most can get pretty pricey there are a few affordable products that you should be able to afford as long as you’re actually serious about the whole thing.

The biggest tip that you can get is to just be level headed when you’re reading about the products, especially when it’s from a page that allows you to buy it there. While not all of these sites are biased, a lot of them are and it would be wise to check out multiple reviews of a certain product from different websites. That way you’ll be guarding against any possible tinkering of benefits and gain more information about the system to boot!

The biggest thing to always remember though is that everyone’s skins different so don’t get discouraged if you can’t find anything that works. There is something out there that will help you to clear up your acne because you cannot possibly be immune to any and every possible ingredient that’s used to treat it. If you feel that you’ve been trying for too long than take the leap and see a dermatologist. They are highly trained and paid to help people out that are in the very same position you are. Not only will they likely put you on a program but they will also be able to find out what hasn’t worked for you and factor that in to the new decisions.

Don’t get too discouraged! There is life after acne as hard as that is to believe right now. Just stay driven and focused on beating it at last and you’ll be on your way to clear, acne-free skin in no time!
